Frequent questions

Where do sessions take place?

Usually outdoors — in a forest, by water or against an urban backdrop. We choose the place together, taking the season into account and where your dog feels at ease. At-home sessions take place in your home, where your animal feels most at ease.

How long is a session and when do I get the photos?

Depending on the session type and package, shooting takes from under an hour to around three hours. You receive the selection gallery within a week, and the finished photographs within two weeks of choosing.

Does my dog need to know commands?

No. A steady “stay” helps but is not required — treats, a toy and patience will do. The best frames rarely happen on command anyway.

What if my dog is afraid of strangers?

Tell me before the session. We then start with a walk and no camera, and I work from a distance with a longer lens. I never force a dog into contact.

Do you photograph cats?

Yes, though less often. I only photograph cats at home — in familiar surroundings a cat is calmer and the photographs come out far more natural.

What happens if it rains?

Light rain often makes a wonderful backdrop. In genuinely bad weather we move the date at no cost — we decide the day before.

How do booking and payment work?

A date is held once confirmed by email. Payment is by bank transfer after the session, when you choose your photographs. Breeder sessions and events are arranged individually.
